Work Experience
During my Diploma of Foundation Studies - Information Technology at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) Tuen Mun, I learned a lot about the fundamentals of IT technology, such as SQL, VBS, how computers work and more.
During my Higher Diploma in Cybersecurity at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) Chai Wan, I had been taught about not only just the fundamentals of IT, but also more focused cybersecurity, including the basics and advanced knowledge. For example, taking a deeper look in networking, learning Python programming language, writing some Python scripts to automate offensive security processes.
In one of those modules in the curriculum, there’s a module called "Topics in Cybersecurity". This module allows students to learn about offensive security methodologies and tools. For instance, CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability) triad, nmap, Metasploit framework, and more.
Moreover, in that module, I teamed up with 2 other group mate to accomplish a mini-project. We’ve decided to do a project about "Active Directory penetration testing", which showcased a simulated real world external network penetration testing. Therefore, I had learned a lot about cybersecurity and IT in general.
